Chuck Strawn of Wenatchee, Washington is an avid railroad photographer. He has worked in the ministry and founded a landscaping company. He is a frequent speaker on railroad topics in the central Washington region.

Scope and content
The Chuck Strawn Collection includes photographs of United States and Canadian railroad subjects, primarily equipment and structures. The photographs were mostly taken by Chuck Strawn but include some taken by his father, D.A. Strawn, and other photographers.
System of arrangement
The collection is organized in 20 to 25 manila envelopes and 3-ring binders marked by general topics. Folder topics include: leasing company company locomotives in Wenatchee; foreign railroad company locomotives in Wenatchee; Burlington Northern locomotives in Wenatchee; early Burlington Northern merger of the Great Northern, Northern Pacific and Chicago Burlington & Quincy, 1976 Bicentennial, Erie Lackawanna; Royal Hudson; COMOX Logging and Railway Company, Vancouver Island maps; the Camas Prairie Railroad; Canadian National Railway; British Columbia Railway; Canadian Pacific locomotive number 2860; Simpson Timber Company; Pacific Great Eastern Railroad; Cascade and Columbia River Railroad; Northwestern Pacific Railroad; Canadian Pacific Field BC; Washington State short line railroads; McCloud River Railroad; Shawnigan Lake Lumber, Butte Anaconda & Pacific, Arizona Lumber & Timber; The Skunk, (California Western Railroad); Donald R.
