Biographical history
William Kane (born 1926) is the son of Frank Kane, superintendent of the Mill Creek shaft on the new Cascade Tunnel and lived in the Mill Creek camp in Stevens Pass, Washington while a child. He currently resides in Waikoloa, Hawaii.

The William Kane Collection is comprised of one drawing of the Great Northern New Cascade Tunnel opening, approximately 200 photographs of construction of the tunnel, and miscellaneous other items related to the tunnel.
