Northern Pacific Railroad dining car, number 1694 at the depot platform in East Auburn, Washington, circa 1942, displaying wartime banners ?V? for Victory and Buy War Bonds. Passenger car 1694 in the consist of train number 1, the westbound North Coast Limited. This car was a 80-foot, 2-inch heavyweight diner built by Pullman in 1930. Photo from the J.M.
