The Herb Chaudiere Collection is comprised of books, photographs, motion pictures, audio tapes, and periodicals covering the Northern Pacific, Great Northern, Milwaukee Road, Union Pacific and other railroads.

The Harold Simon Collection incorporates digital copies of 9 maps of railroad changes at the Dalles Dam and 1 partial pad of Great Northern telegraph blanks.

The Great Northern Railway- Blueprint-Authorization for Expenditure Collection (GN_Blueprint_AFEs) was created by the Great Northern Railway Historical Society from materials at the Jackson Street Roundhouse. Blueprints and other documents stored with Great Northern Railway Authorization for Expenditure files were gathered and cataloged as a separate collection with reference to the Authorization for Expenditure number where available. In addition to Great Northern Railway blueprints, some supplier blueprints, catalogs, and other supplemental materials for individual projects are included. Blueprints are categorized as Engineering drawings when depicting buildings, track and other structures and as Mechanical drawings when applicable to rolling stock. Other (minor) categories of documents include maps and plats, photographs and printed ephemera.

The George Simonson Collection includes documents on the Milwaukee Road, Burlington Northern, Nothern Pacific, SP&S, Union Pacific, Pacific Coast Railroad, Great Northern and other railroads. Railroad and model railroad magazines are also included, and books on railroad subjects.

The Fred Wenzel Collection includes logging photographs, time books for L. M. Wray while working at the Northern Pacific Railroad Terminal, time books for R. G. Wenzel while working on the Union Pacific Railroad, miscellaneous Burlington Northern Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad timetables, and various union constitutions.

The Frank Dekker Collection consists of Non-Operating Property Books Numbers 2, 3, and 4 of the Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company (a Union Pacific Railroad Company subsidiary).

The Dwight Thompson Collection includes 6 issues of the Great Northern Railway Historical Society (GNRHS) "Goat" magazine, 16 GNRHS reference sheets, the September 1995 issue of "Northwest Railfan", and the SP&S Historical Society magazine "The Northwest's Own Railway for Spring, 1989.

The David Mason Collection includes the railroad comic books "Ride the High Iron" and "Rails Across America"; Canadian Pacific Railroad's "Westward Across Canada", Union Pacific Railroad's "Western Wonderlands"; Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad's "The Railroad with Young Ideas"; American Association of Railroad's "Quiz Jr." and "Railroads at Work".

The Dan Perkins Collection integrates some 15,000 photographic slides taken by Daniel Perkins between 1966 and 1973 of Pacific Northwest railroad subjects, chiefly equipment. Railroads covered include the Great Northern, Northern Pacific, Spokane, Portland and Seattle, Southern Pacific, Milwaukee Road, Union Pacific, and Pacific Coast.

The Dale Madison collection includes employee timetables and special instructions issued between 1956 and 1973 by the Union Pacific, SP&S, Northern Pacific, Bulington Northern and other railroads, a Nothern Pacific brakeman had and a Burlington Nothern bump hat.
