Great Northern Steam Locomotive 1078, a Class E-15, a 4-6-0, built by Baldwin in 1910, 22"x28" cylinders, 73" drivers, 210 psi steam pressure, 177,000 pounds weight, 31,560 pounds tractive effort, leading the morning local to Colville, Kettle Falls, and Marcus, Washington. It connected at Marcus to Nelson, British Columbia and to Republic and Grand Forks, British Columbia, Hillyard, Washington. A David Emerson photo taken in 1934 or 1935.
