Northern Pacific Class F-1 Consolidation-type steam locomotive number 81, built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1888, stands coupled to two 1880s-vintage wooden passenger cars at South Tacoma, Washington, on May 4, 1940. Equipment is being switched to Northwest Railroad History Society lots after donation by the railroad. The cars were used by the group for meetings, locomotive was lost to World War II scrap drive.
