SP&S 2-8-2 steam locomotive Number 500, Class O-1, at Vancouver, Washington on September 12, 1942. Notice the wartime blackout hood on the headlight as well as the air cylinder to accuate the hood over the stack. This locomotive was formerly Great Northern Number 3026 and was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in January 1913. From the Witbeck Studio Collection.
