Great Northern Steam Locomotive 3399, a Class O-8, a 2-8-2, built by Great Northern in 1932, 29"x32" cylinders, 69" drivers, 250 psi steam pressure, 367,000 pounds weight, 78,000 pounds tractive effort, the last engines built in Hillyard Shops and only one of only three steam locomotives built for an American railroad in 1932, heaviest and most powerful 2-8-2 locomotives built in America, the 25 locomotives in the Class O-7 were rebuilt too Class O-8 standards in the later 1930s at Hillyard, Washington.
