Northern Pacific diesel locomotive number 6000 at Stampede, Washington, on June 02, 1944. NP 6000 is an FT built by Electro Motive Division of General Motors Company in 1944. This was the first set of road diesels purchased by the NP and is less than six months old in this photo. Note the location of the classification flag under the side window.
