The first Heisler geared locomotive built was a 15 ton, two truck model built for the F.A. Addington Lumber Company as Number 1. This was a 36 inch gauge locomotive and is seen here at Little Washington, North Carolina in July 1891. This was the only Heisler built by Dunkirk Engineering and was constructed in July 1891.
