The David Abbott Collection holds Great Northern Railway Historical Society Collection 369.1 with documents relating to the avalanche at Wellington, Washington on March 1, 1910 on the Great Northern, documents on the Great Northern Railway's right-of-way through Anacortes, Washington and a track profile of the Great Northern between Lewiston, Idaho and Kingston, Montana. It also includes 27 copies of the Great Northern Railway employee newsletter "Talking It Over", 26 copies of the Burlington Nothern employee newsletter "BN News" and 72 copies of the Great Nothern Railway Historical Society magazine "Goat".
The Dave Franz Collection includes Burlington Northern Railroad train orders from 1985 for Missoula, Montana, bulletins from Missoula, and Burlington Northern Railroad computer printouts. Also assembled are Electro Motive Division and General Electric locomotive manuals, air brake books, Northern Pacific Railroad track Charts, and Northern Pacific Railroad station maps.
The Darren Wiese Collection brings together Darius Kinsey and Asahel Curtis photographs, Portland, Oregon trolley photographs, paper work from the Portland Traction Company, Northern Pacific Railroad, Great Northern Railway, Southern Pacific Railroad and Burlington Northern Railroad, unused Northern Pacific Railroad and Portland traction car seals, and plaster detail from the Chehalis, Washington depot.
The Daniel Gabbert Collection is comprised of railroad equipment operating manuals and government and railroad company regulations for the operation and maintenance of railroad equipment.
The Dan Steinhoff Collection consists of a copy of the retirement program for A.W. Ackley, Chief Dispatcher of the Tacoma Division, Northern Pacific Railroad Company, and a newspaper article on James M. Fredrickson, dispatcher for the Northern Pacific Railroad Company.
The Dan Perkins Collection integrates some 15,000 photographic slides taken by Daniel Perkins between 1966 and 1973 of Pacific Northwest railroad subjects, chiefly equipment. Railroads covered include the Great Northern, Northern Pacific, Spokane, Portland and Seattle, Southern Pacific, Milwaukee Road, Union Pacific, and Pacific Coast.
