The Alfred E. Michon Collection includes documents produced by the Great Northern Railway Company (U.S.), Burlington Northern Railroad Company, Spokane, Portland, and Seattle Railway and Northern Pacific Railroad Company and other railroads between 1966 and 1996. Also included in the collection are a wide variety of railroad ephemera from a variety of railroads and 25 photographs on the shipping of coal from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.
The Allan Manson Collection is comprised of primarily of Union Pacific Railroad and Burlington Northern Railroad operations documents, employee magazines and financial documents dated between 1968 and 2013 as collected by a locomotive engineer. It also includes some operations documents from other railroads and operating equipment manuals.
