The George Werkema Collection consists of photographic slides of Great Northern Railway Company (U.S.) subjects and photographic slides of Northern Pacific Railroad Company subjects, some taken by Mr. Werkema and some from other sources. Some of these images are cross referenced to successor companies, such as the Burlington Northern Railroad Company, or to other related railroads. Subjects include railroad equipment, railroad stations, railroad bridges and other structures, and railroad tracks taken in locations across the western United States.

The George Simonson Collection includes documents on the Milwaukee Road, Burlington Northern, Nothern Pacific, SP&S, Union Pacific, Pacific Coast Railroad, Great Northern and other railroads. Railroad and model railroad magazines are also included, and books on railroad subjects.

The George S. Larrango Collection includes Northern Pacific Railroad employment documents, memorabilia and photographs, a Northern Pacific General Arrangement drawing for a 6000CU Ft 100 ton woodchip Gondola car dated 3-7-1969; painting and stenciling drawings for a 60ft 100 ton boxcar 2-7488 dated 9-27-1969, and stenciling for 70-ton Burllington Northern boxcar 16815-12x dated 2-17-1970.

The Gary Wildung Collection includes 1 book of Northern Pacific shop and roundhouse engineering drawings.

The Gary Weisz Collection consists of 2 compact discs of archaeological research pertaining to the Clark Fork Division of the Northern Pacific Railroad between 1881 and 1883.

The Gary Stengle Collection includes Northern Pacific steam locomotive photographs, a public timetable, ephemera, artifacts and the April, 1988 issue of "Freight Cars Journal".

The Fred High Collection combines Northern Pacific waybills and other materials from the Arlington, Washington, depot.

The Fred Forester Collection includes railroad lanterns, a Northern Pacific Railroad steam locomotive oil can and a Northern Pacific Railroad oil storage can.

The Floyd Larson Collection includes 1 copy of "Uniform System Accounts for Railroad Companies", 1 Rand McNally railroad atlas, 10 copies of the Northern Pacific Railroad Company's "First Northern Transcontinental Railroad" pamphlets, Burlington Northern Railroad state railroad maps dated 1983 for Missouri, Minnesota, Idaho and Washington, Colorado, Illinois, Texas, Iowa, North Dakota, Montana, South Dakota, Arkansas, Oregon and California, Alabama, Mississippi, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, and 1 for connecting shortlines.

The Eugene Deimling Collection includes copies of Northern Pacific Railroad Gas Electric car engineering drawings.
