The James Fredrickson Collection is an extensive compilation of documents and photographs, primarily concerned with the Northern Pacific Railroad Company with additional coverage of other Pacific Northwest railroads. The Fredrickson Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) collection covers documents from the Northern Pacific's Tacoma and Idaho Divisions from 1900 to 1927. Many of these documents are actually Field Completion Reports (FCR).
The James Sovay Collection assembles Burlington Northern Railroad track profiles, plat maps, message pads, track work standard plans, a Burlington Northern Railroad form for yard and back track inspections, training manuals, Burlington Northern Railroad calendars, and plat maps from the Ed White collection.
The Jay Lentzner Collection includes Burlington Northern Railroad, Northern Pacific Railroad and Great Northern Railway maps; Burlington Northern Railroad, Northern Pacific Railroad and Great Northern Railway timetables; engine house registers for Othello, Washingon and Tacoma, Washington; Conductor's Train Registers; Tacoma Daily Power Line Ups; Tacoma Roundhouse Foreman Log Books; Tacoma Train Dispatcher's Order books; Montana Rail LInk reports dated January 1-December 31st, 1993; Brotherhood magazines dated 1906-1967; and maps from the Northern Pacific Railroad, Burlington Northern Railroad and Great Northern Railway.
The Jay Roberts Collection includes BNSF track charts Seattle to Vancouver, Washingto; a drawing of the Interbay (Seattle) turntable, a drawing of Bridge #4 over Salmon Bay Waterway, keys, Bombardier Company pins, a communication box, Sounder lettering drawings, a Bombardier cab car testing plan, an operations plan -Everett to Lakewood, a map of Sound Transit track Portland Avenue Tacoma to Nisqually, Washington, railroad calendars, a book, 2 CD's of Bombardier manuals, an Operating Manual, a print of a Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad train and a Bridge Worker safety placard.
The John and Ivar Aspebakken Collection is comprised of 8 mm film on railroad subjects, track profiles, maps, tonnage charts and ephemera for the Burlington Northern, and track profiles for the Fort Worth and Denver, and Colorado Southern railroads. It includes digital copies of the track profiles.
The John Dennis Collection holds some 160 color photographs taken by Danny P. Cook and additional photographs provided as digital files. Subjects are primarily Burlington Northern equipment, employees and locations in western Washington state taken in the 1990's. Some photographs of Amtrak and Union Pacific subjects are also included.
The Joseph McGee Collection includes 6 time books (labeled 1-7, but 2 is missing) for Brakeman Joe McGee on the Northern Pacific Railroad Company's Idaho Division out of Spokane from September 1, 1946 through June 30, 1956 (Accrual W2012-11) and 3 large format Great Northern Railway Company (U.S.) time tables: Great Northern #30 for the Montana Division dated 06/01/1930, Great Northern #39 for the Butte Division dated 12/13/1936 and Great Northern (United States Railroad Administration) #4 dated 10/05/1919.
