The Donald Holmes Collection is 3 photographs: a Northern Pacific horse drawn express wagon taken in Seattle, Washington, a Great Northern steam shovel digging a railway cut, and a group photograph taken in front of a (probably Northern Pacific) freight house with eastern Washington destination signs on the doors, all circa 1910.
The Don Arnett Collection consists of 95 photographs of the Great Northern's construction of snow sheds over Marias Pass, Montana in 1912 and Stevens Pass, Washington in 1916 from the John S. McCrossen collection.

The David Emerson Collection encompasses materials primarily related to the Great Northern Railway Company (U.S.) and the Burlington Northern Railroad Company. It includes in excess of 27,000 photographs in addition to extensive Great Northern operational paperwork from the Spokane area and posters, ephemera, annual reports, newsletters, blueprints, equipment manuals, and timetables.
The David Abbott Collection holds Great Northern Railway Historical Society Collection 369.1 with documents relating to the avalanche at Wellington, Washington on March 1, 1910 on the Great Northern, documents on the Great Northern Railway's right-of-way through Anacortes, Washington and a track profile of the Great Northern between Lewiston, Idaho and Kingston, Montana. It also includes 27 copies of the Great Northern Railway employee newsletter "Talking It Over", 26 copies of the Burlington Nothern employee newsletter "BN News" and 72 copies of the Great Nothern Railway Historical Society magazine "Goat".
The Dan Perkins Collection integrates some 15,000 photographic slides taken by Daniel Perkins between 1966 and 1973 of Pacific Northwest railroad subjects, chiefly equipment. Railroads covered include the Great Northern, Northern Pacific, Spokane, Portland and Seattle, Southern Pacific, Milwaukee Road, Union Pacific, and Pacific Coast.
The Dan Bolyard Collection unites photographs of the Milwaukee Road and Great Northern, Milwaukee road post cards, 7 issues of the "MilWest Dispatch" and a book titled "New Cascade Tunnel".
