The Mark Gelhaus Collection includes documents, timetables, operating instructions, equipment manuals, maps, equipment registers, photographs and sound recordings produced between 1885 and 1994. Railroad represented include the Northern Pacific, Burlington Northern, Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Milwaukee Road, Great Northern and other railroads. Many of these materials were accumulated by Michael D. Gelhaus and Al Bennett.

Maple Valley Historical Society Collection
The Maple Valley Historical Society Deposit includes of 85 digital photographs of Pacific Coast Railroad equipment and locations taken by Tom Kroutz between 1949 and 1952 and provided to Pacific Northwest Railroad Archive on a computer disc. A separate deposit was made of 82 digital photographs of Pacific Coast Railroad and other railroad subjects taken between 1909 and 1991 in and around Maple Valley by various photographers.

The Lee Bailey Collection consists of 2 large binders of correspondence between Pacific Northwest railroad companies and Pacific Northwest railroad companies and customers on two broad subjects: shipping poultry feed (1904-1922) and shipping flour and grain (1915-1921).

The Jonathan Fischer Collection takes in 1 Field Ampere meter from a Milwaukee Road box cab electric locomotive. It was recovered at St. Maries, Idaho.
The John McNutt Collection includes Milwaukee Road Rules and Instructions, 1974, Safety Instructions, 1970, and a public timetable from May, 1939. Also included are a Railroad Commisssioners' report from 1907, a Consolidated Code from 1967, an Electro-Motive Division Operator's Manual for their SD-7 from 1954, a United Transportation Union Schedule for Trainmen and Yardmen from 1969, a Chicago and Northwestern Railroad notebook, "The Railroad Spiral" by William Searles, 1906, and a Southern Pacific "Shasta Route" timetable from 1956.
