Great Northern diesel locomotive 501 leads the eastbound Empire Builder at Bison, Montana. Used for a Vanishing Vistas postcard, the back reads "At about 8:00 A.M. (on the second morning out of Seattle) this eastbound train crossed the Continental Divide just south of Glacier National Park, then rolled downhill through Bison, still 1103 miles from St. Paul.".
