Great Northern Steam Locomotive 3309, a Class O-5, a 2-8-2, rebuilt by Great Northern in 1922-1925 from Number 1810 Mallet, 25"x30" cylinders, 63" drivers, 200 psi steam pressure, 283,420 pounds weight, 50,000 pounds tractive effort, Hillyard, Washington. Great Northern Steam Locomotive 3399, a Class O-8, a 2-8-2, built by Great Northern in 1932, 29"x32" cylinders, 69" drivers, 250 psi steam pressure, 367,000 pounds weight, 78,000 pounds tractive effort, the last engines built in Hillyard Shops and only one of only three steam locomotives built for an American railroad in 1932, heaviest and most powerful 2-8-2 locomotives built in America, the 25 locomotives in the Class O-7 were rebuilt too Class O-8 standards in the later 1930s at Hillyard, Washington. Great Northern Steam Locomotive 3251, a Class O-4, a 2-8-2, built by Baldwin in 1920, 28"x32" cylinders, 63" drivers, 210 psi steam pressure, 319,700 pounds weight, 64,313 pounds tractive effort. Believed to have been ordered by the Texas Pacific but canceled and purchased by the Great Northern, several of this series worked out of Spokane to Wenatchee after the 2000 series Mallets were taken in away in the late 1920s.
